Somebody used stolen card details to make an online purchase using my bank account, via PayPal, and I have been unable to make any progress whatsoever with PayPal in two weeks of phone calls and messages. Incredibly, after all of the time that has elapsed and that I have spent repeatedly explaining the situation, PayPal still seem to think I'm talking about my PayPal account. I'm not, I've not used it for years and am extremely unlikely to ever use it again. Has anybody been in this situation? I'm sick fed up of receiving the same stock messages in the message center, urging me to phone, because every time I've phone all it does is generate the exact same useless stock messages again.
