On the 15th April, I received an email from 'sec @ pal . com' saying that my PayPal account is incomplete and that all incomplete accounts will deleted from the database from the 4th October 2015. There was an attachment which I didn't open because I was suspicious, but the rest of the email had blank fields requesting personal information such as bank details. I thought, there's no way PayPal would make me send information like that through an email! So I ignored it. Today though, I got another email from a Libby Barr using the email, 'intl _ p @ pyal . com' . This time the email said "The credit card we have on file for your PayPal service was declined when we attempted to bill you on 20/04/2015 for your most recent service fees. For this reason, your service could be suspended. You must update your billing information immediately in order to avoid any interruption to your services. Once your credit card information is updated, you will be charged immediately, as soon as payment is received. You can update your credit card simply by download the form attached in email Thanks. Libby Barr Managing Director, Customer Service" If this was you, why was I being charged in the first place? I hadn't ordered anything on the 20th April (today) and once again, there was an attachment and blank fields requiring me to fill in personal information. You can't blame me for being skeptical. 😕
