My recent experience with this sort of irrational response is this... My customer requested a custom color in pink. I shipped the usual color that others have accepted as "pink." She rejected that color and I pre-paid to have her product returned. In the return shipment she supplied a color sample of what she wanted. After further investigation and many trips and hours I found a paint color that matched her sample. But when I shipped it back to her (and she admitted that it was a perfect match) she then complained about the quality of the painter surface. I then offered her a full refund if she returned the product. I also offered a prepaid shipping label so there would be no cost to return it. She refused my offer and instead decided to have a local person repaint my product to her satisfaction.... without asking me for authorization, let alone consent to repay her for her action. Now, she wants me to reimburse her for the $100 she spent without my approval and refuses to return my product for a full refund. Really? Just where are the rights of the business community against irrational people like this?
