It's odd timing that your comment just came up because I just severed my relationship with PayPal. I did call them back when I received this reply, explained to them that I wanted online purchase to go against the credit card that I furnished, and the representative told me that they would make sure that my account was set up accordingly. I recently made a purchase, and ran into the same problem. I suddenly had a PayPal balance, and they wanted me to link to a bank account to settle it. I called again, was told that they would waive a late fee, and make the charge go against my credit card, but that there was interest of $2.00 on my $59.99 purchase. I paid the balance with the credit card, and I paid their $2.00 charge just to be done with them. I still don't understand why they complicate something that should be simple, but I'm not wasting any more time on it. I'll just make purchase with my credit card. What I had hoped would be an additonal layer of protection turned out to be an ineffective and obscure system that I have no use for. Good luck. @Its_an_opinion wrote: I have the same problem as @MyNameHere. Does your answer mean that the PayPal website can't be used to pay a PayPal Credit balance from a debit or credit card? Can payments using a card only be done by calling "the PayPal Credit team directly", or can it be accomplished through Twitter or FaceBook only? Not being able to pay online is a deal-breaker for me. If I wanted to spend time on hold I'd simply call the company and skip PayPal entirely! I hope someone at PayPal.com intends to resolve this problem before the Fall shopping rush....
