Hi, I hope somebody can clear this up for me as I'm going round in circles looking for a resolution. Last night I received an email titled 'PayPal electronic funds transfer'. The email started with Dear [firstname surname] so I read on. 'We are processing your request to transfer funds to your PayPal account from your bank account ending in ****' The last two numbers displayed are indeed the last two numbers of my associated bank account. So I am happy that the email looks legit. I logged in to Paypal and there it was, a transaction that is pending from my bank account to my paypal account. The trouble is that I never initiated it. The email continues... 'This transfer is being made based on your Balance Manager settings. To update your settings, log in to your PayPal account and click 'Balance Manager'. I don't ever recall using this feature and now I can't find it when I log in to Paypal! So I went through the documented steps for resolution and selected the unique transaction ID listed with the transaction. I just get the error "invalid transaction ID" when trying to send the form. Does anyone else have this experience? It's driving me nuts.
