Has anyone else had this happen? Earlier this month I noticed Paypal had deducted $35.36 from my bank account but there was no corresponding entry on my activity page. I went to the resolution center and opened a case. My case confirmation email said I'd hear back in about nine days. That was two weeks ago and since I heard nothing back I checked the resolution center to find the case didn't exist. I sent another message (via resolution center) and immediately had my account suspended. After going through the rigmarole of getting it back, I was still clueless. The paypal phone number I'd been given would give it's spiel and then hangup. I finally found a phone number and got some automated "help." I was told I'd filed a claim last July 2016 for 30.79 GBP due to suspicious activity but the claim was resolved in favor of the seller. (Huh???) I looked back through my July 2016 activity, had made one purchse from a company in Great Britian for $39.48 (29.75 GBP). However I got great, fast service and I was happy with the product and had no reason to file a claim and had no reason to suspect anything was suspicious. The numbers don't add up, so I don't know if that was the company (they did get paid). Plus there is no record of a closed case in my resolution files. The whole thing just doesn't add up, and Paypal's being so dismissive and not forthcoming with the informaion has really shaken my confidence in them.
