That is great news to hear they have the weight variable implemented. I still find it pretty unforgivable that they pulled the plug on the classic (and still better) interface before they even had the new one working properly. Hopefully they are done messing with stuff.

Yes...the classic button UI that PayPal support was pointing us to has now stopped working (and is redirecting to the new button UI). The issue is...the new UI is not finished. They have a WEIGHT variable listed so a person can assign a weight to an item.....but it doesn't work and gives an error that WEIGHT is an unsupported variable. I wish I could have one more visit to the classic UI to mark all of my buttons to allow purchases even when an items inventory was at 0 and set them all at 0. I would then just manage my inventory manually (outside of PayPal). As it is now., whenever I do have to go in and edit a button.....it means FREE SHIPPING for that item. Why would they pull the plug on the classic UI before they have all of the needed features implemented on the new UI? I wish I knew how to leave PayPal, but I simply do not have the web developing know how to do that.

I submitted another support ticket 2 weeks ago and they gave me the: https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_button-management link again and said to use that. It was working again........but now it's not. Now that link just redirects to: Create PayPal Payment Buttons Which will only take me to the new and broken button UI.

I really have no idea about any of the stuff you are mentioning, but the new button edit page still does not have a place to put in the items weight (as I have my shipping charges calculated by order weight). So, I have to believe that as soon as I go in an edit a button using the new page...it means it weights 0 and they are getting free shipping on it.

It seems PayPal has finally squashed this classic button edit workaround. The link will not load and I have no idea what I am going to do. 10+ years using PayPal and these buttons and now I can not even edit them to keep my website running. If I do edit them the way they want....I am giving everyone free shipping.

That link was a life saver. I did not realize that every button I had edited with that new, crappy interface was wiping the weight off of them and giving everyone free shipping on them. This had happened a couple of days ago and actually contacted PayPal about the shipping being charged, but they didn't mention what the issue might have been. It looks like they would have mentioned the new buttons being **bleep** up is what was doing it. I've already lost over $50 in shipping fees today when a rush of orders come in. Luckily, most of the orders had at least some items that was still charging shipping, or I would have been hosed for several hundred. If this doesn't get corrected or they take that classic link away...I do not know what I will do. I know very little about website development or switching things over. Why are they breaking things and probably driving customers away?

Why has PayPal **bleep** up the saved buttons page? First, they hid the link to get to it and now they have **bleep** up the way they are viewed. I used to be also to see all of my saved buttons on 2 pages. Now it takes up 7 pages. What is even worse is they are sorted by when the buttons were created. Before the last updated button would go to the top of the first page. Now I will be digging through 7 pages to get to some of my most edited buttons. On top of that...a person can no longer even see the inventory of a button until you click into it to edit it...AND guess what? They **bleep** with the button edit pages also. They didn't seem to change anything...just make it look different to mess with people and make things more difficult for them. PayPal went through this crap a few years ago.... constantly changing things and messing things up just to be busy work for someone. That seemed to have stopped the past couple years and now it's back. I guess I can expect more clicks and more hassle to get the same amount of work done. As it is...I guarantee I have to make twice and many clicks to get something done as it took when i first stated using PayPal for my business 10 years ago. BRING BACK THE CLASSIC VIEW FOR THE SAVED BUTTONS!!!

Thanks for the workaround, but I had an even more direct means of getting to it on my original post. There is also: log in and mouse over your account name (top right area) > account settings > website payments (on the left side) > on PayPal Buttons click Update... ...and you are on the page that used to take one click from the homepage. So, thank you for your help, but I don't want more clicks. I want the link restored and have less clicks and hassle in my day-to-day business.

Why has PayPal removed the PayPal Buttons link from the Pay & Get Paid section at the top on my main PayPal page? It just disappeared this week for me (4-21-23) and I did find a couple of far more convoluted ways to find the page to view and edit my saved buttons. What is ridiculous is that they removed the link to get there at all and a PayPal rep could not even give me directions on how to find them. He just said it had been missing for 5 days without a fix. As it is....logging in and going to: https://www.paypal.com/buttons/ ...seems to be the most direct route. Please fix this PayPal.

To get anything resolved I had to delete my account on ShipStation and go through the setup process just as I did when PayPal started using them. ShipStation then retrieved the order list as it should have been doing all along, but only up to the past 30 days. So as of now....it is connecting with PayPal and getting new order info from them, but I have 200+ orders that ShipStation has not retrieved the info for that was before that 30 day period. I see no reason that ShipStaion even needs that PayPal "order list". When I click SHIP on a PayPal transaction it should just send the address information to ShipStation for me. Then I buy the label at ShipStation and it should update the PayPal transaction to a shipped status with the tracking info. Seems pretty straight forward. I see no reason or purpose for the order list on ShipStation at all except to cause issues as I have been seeing if things don't sync up. Why do the syncing at all....just transmit the address and shipping info on a transaction by transaction basis. PayPal should go back to handling the shipping as they did before they started using ShipStation.
