I stupidly ordered an item from a Facebook ad and spent about $23. I was sent a completely different item worth about 10 cents (a tennis ball). I opened a Paypal case. The proposed solution is for me to send the wrong item back at my own expense and then I will receive a refund. Of course it's from China and will cost me $13-$17 just to send the tennis ball back. Part of me wants to do it out of principle. My concern is that this seller will claim they didn't receive it or that I sent the wrong item and then refuse to refund. Would I have any recourse if that happens? I'm obviously a fool but am not out that much money yet--I don't want to be a bigger fool by adding to that loss with postage costs.
