Hi, it's my first time trying to get a refund using paypal and I've ran into some problems. reading around i'm not completely sure what's going on, other than i may have to file some kind of dispute or claim. I recently cancelled an order with an online store a couple of days after placing it and they said they would issue me a refund within 5 working days. Sure enough, the amount showed up in my paypal balance in full, and so I assumed the refund was completed. That was weeks ago. Today, I noticed that my paypal balance has gone back to zero, my refund has disappeared and I did not move it or use it. Looking into the details of the refund, it said that on the 1st of August, my refund was on "temporary hold" with status "placed" then on the 5th of August the status was "removed" by paypal. What happened? Did the money return to the online store? Was the money sent back to my account? I it has not appeared in my online bank statement. Should I have attempted to move it back to my account when I had the chance? Have i been robbed? lol What do i do next? I am unable to file a dispute on said transaction, because it's status is "refunded" Anyone out there able to help me understand this further, and advise me on what to do next? Much appreciated.
