I take great offence at being referred to by American businesses as an International customer. Canada is a very close neighbor of the USA. American and Canadians are each other's largest trading partners. I have read article after article about how Canadians played a large role in the US getting over it's latest financial problems. It is a well known fact that many many Canadians spend their money inthe US not only by shopping but by tourism. I have been shopping inthe US online almost since the creation of eBay,as have many other Cdns. Over the years eBay, & Paypal have made this type of shopping more and more difficult and extremely expensive. When Paypal. com began their was no differentaition between Canada being international. They charge me a fee for changing $Cdn into $US. So why are you telling me that you have to charge the merchant for this as well. We have free trade between our countries. Why should I hVe to pay $20 shipping for a $10 item. And most sellers are under the impression they have no choice but to use priority intl mail for Canada. Overall this is not neighborly relations. This is not a thank you for your business. This feels like discrimination. And that is why I now shop far less on eBay. That and the fact that given how Paypal treats their Cdn customers I resent being forced to use them to pay for goods on eBay. EBay and Paypal are not the company they started out as. I was a very loyal customer for many years, but loyalty has to be earned and maintained. I will continue to shop in the US, but less and less on eBay and with Paypal. Fortunately most US businesses do not view me as way to squeeze every last possible cent out of my pocket with the excuse I am international. I am your next door neighbor.
