PayPal has placed my last 4 payments on hold for what they describe in the holds as protection for me as a seller. These holds/disputes where not started by my buyers they were started by PayPal themselves for no apparent reason. Trying to find out the reason for the holds/disputes I called PayPal customer service, the woman I spoke to was very polite and assured me it was just routine and that the payments would go through because "WE TAKE CARE OF OUR SELLERS" "Just wait until the 25th and the payments will go through". I called a second time a few days later because they placed my next two orders on hold for the same random reason (for a total of 4 on hold) and was told the same thing and assured the payments would go through. Just a few moments ago I recieved an email stating that the payments were reversed because I did not provide shipping information, Please, someone tell me how to ship a web hosting account, that would be a neat trick. Since the other two payments are obviously going to be reversed because I cant ship a service, I am just going to have to close their web hosting accounts and tell them to move on. I have no choice now but to close my business or get a merchant account. If every transaction that is made on PayPal is going to be disputed by PayPal and reversed for not being shiped they should state that you can not use PayPal to sell services. That would make things alot easier. I really don't understand the problem, I have been using PayPal for payments for web hosting services for almost 2 years now without a single problem, now out of the blue for no apparent reason I can not recieve payments for services anymore. I know there will be people saying that I brought this on myself and thats fine but the truth is I am a.. Verifyed premier member for two years without one dispute or problem, ever. I have two bank accounts and one credit card associated with my account I am a verifyed ebay seller without one single problem and 100% feedback I have done everything right and PayPal has basically stated to me with their actions that they indeed do not TAKE CARE OF THEIR SELLERS. What their actions say to me is that they know they are the standard and they can get away with anything they please because there isnt a standard alternative. They flat out lied to me (twice) about the payments that were placed on hold. Simply bad business, Thanks PayPal, Thanks alot.
