There is no “freebie” as you have to pay tax on all the money you make. The 20k and 200 is the point where paypal has to report it to the IRS but even if you only to 1k in sales and 50 transactions paypal does not have to report it but you do.   Now the part that is taxable is the amount of money you have left after deductions. I have my on line business in half my home I deduct half my mortgage half of my power bill and then the standard stuff like ebay fees, paypal fees, the amount I pay for shipping, mileage to and from the shipping center to drop off the packages, and mileage for going to pick up items when I have to, the cost I paid for the items and more.   As long as you deduct every thing that you legally can you may pay no taxes at all.  ... Buyer wants refund after 52 days help

Hi I need your help. I have a customer that bought an item on Sep. 19 2009, 52 days ago. They contacted me last night saying that the main seal leaks after the pressure tested it by filling the oil compartment with air pressure.  You can do that with newer ones but this one is 18 years old (1991) as stated in the ad and when you pressure test them when they get older they will blow the seal every time and they will blow if you put too much pressure in it or don't have the right tools to pressure test the item.   The buyer now wants to return the item. Would you allow this return or would you tell him to go fly a kite and if no return, will pp protect me if he does a cc chargeback?   Thank you.     ... View more
