From what I've been reading here it looks like Paypal continues to allow sellers to get ripped off by buyers and could care less how they treat sellers. I was recently ripped off by a buyer fron Brazil who filed a despute because the item was held up in customs. I told Paypal that there was nothing I can do after the item is in customs and supplied the buyer with all the necessary information and tracking number. They demanded that I give him a refund knowing that my item is still on the way to this guy, They could care less that by their flawed policy they allowed this guy to commit fraud by receiving a refund and taking possesion of the item after it left customs and was delivered to him. Paypal basically told me to go pound sand there is nothing they can do but send him a courtesey email to pay for the item. What a joke! Every time I called customer service you get some dingleberry on the line that you have to explain everthing to over again. I was so **bleep** off if I was in the same room with these idiots there would be expired birth cirtificates all over the room. This isn't even about the money anymore with me, it's about how they could treat a customer that way, not take any responsibility for their part in allowing this to happen and not giving me a refund. I smell a class action law suit brewing if they don't seriously look at their policies and improve their customer service. I feel totally violated by Paypal and have no faith in them as a company whatsoever! All they have to do in casses like mine is put all monies in dispute in an escrow account until the disposition of the item in question is established. Either the buyer accepts delivery or refuses delivery and it's returned to the seller then funds can be released to the appropriate party. But they don't give a damn.
