There have been a LOT of threads about this problem, and the moderators have been saying all along they were working on a solution, and I'm convinced that this is their attempt to at least temporarily give people an option to use BillMeLater on their Ebay purchases.   What I don't understand is why they haven't made some sort of formal announcement to BillMeLater members about this, considering the amount of confusion the whole thing has caused, and the MANY threads that have been started on this forum by people who don't know how to use BML for Ebay buys.  For now, I have found a way to use BML for Ebay purchases by this method, what I'm afraid of is that it might change suddenly and I'll be stuck with a purchase that I can't pay for with BML, and I'll have to cancel the transaction, so I'm wary about it.  They need to make people aware of this way to use BML for Ebay by announcing it to everyone, if they intend this to be the way it will be handled from now on.   Al ... There have been many questions about this problem, and much erroneous info posted about linking your PayPal and BillMeLater accounts, and I have been part of the discussion.   I recently happened on one way to pay for most of your Ebay purchases using BillMeLater:   When you hit the "Pay Now" button, and get to the payment options, instead of choosing "pay using PayPal" (or what ever the wording is), choose the option that says something like "Don't have a PayPal account? " that says you can pay by a credit card or other means.   I tried that lately and guess what, along with the credit card options, it now includes an option to pay by BillMeLater.   It appears that you are signing up for BillMeLater for the first time, they even mention the initial free $10 credit for your first purchase, but if you have a BillMeLater account and choose that option to use BillMeLater, it will ask the usual questions (last four numbers of SS number, your zip code, etc.) and then it will approve you for charging the item to BillMeLater.   I have done this twice now, and it has worked fine.   I think this is the way they have decided to "fix" the problem, even though I haven't seen any announcement about it.  So next time you make an Ebay purchase, choose the option to pay with other credit cards instead of the option to use PayPal, and I think you'll see the BillMeLater option listed there.  I just accidently discovered this in a recent Ebay purchase I made, and I think it may be the only way to use your BillMeLater account to pay for Ebay purchases at this time, they are considering it an alternate payment method, along with credit cards.   Check it out.   I thought I'd pass this on, as it seems to be their answer to this question that many have asked.  The charge will show on your BillMeLater account page, but not on your PayPal account page (at least in my case, that's what has happened).   Alan ... I have had a BillMeLater username and password ever since I got BillMeLater (that's how I pay my bill), and nothing about BillMeLater shows up under my PayPal account or in my profile.  The bottom line is, if there is no way to link my two accounts, and BillMeLater does not show up as a payment option in PayPal, then we were lied to by BillMeLater, who have stated from the start that my BillMeLater account info should show on my PayPal account page and I should be able to pay my BML bill from there.  I have tried everything that has been suggested to get these two accounts linked together, and to have BillMeLater as a payment option under PayPal, and nothing works. ... Adrian,   PayPal and BillMeLater need to get together about this issue, and fix it.  When I signed up for BillMeLater, it was claimed that it would show up on my PayPal account page so I could make payments through my PayPal account.  I also read that I would be able to use BillMeLater as a payment option through PayPal.  On the BillMeLater website, they say you can link the two accounts by choosing PayPal as a payment option when you check out instead of choosing BillMeLater, then the accounts will be linked and the BillMeLater info will show up on my PayPal account page.  This is a catch-22 situation, because BillMeLater does not show up under payment options when you click on PayPal to pay for an item, so their information is incorrect.  Now you're saying there is NO WAY to link the accounts if you signed up with BillMeLater a certain way, which I take means during a promotional period when BillMeLater is an option for payment for a temporary period of time, which is how I signed up.   You can see that this is very frustrating for a lot of people here who were mislead by this erroneous information pertaining to linking the two accounts.   I hope PayPal and BillMeLater are working on a solution for this problem, as you can see from these help forum questions you have a lot of unhappy PayPal/BillMeLater users that feel they have been mislead.   Thanks, Al ... If it will only let you refund the purchase price, send the rest to him using "Send Money".  Just put in the message box the information that it is a refund of whatever (shipping both ways, or anything else).  You could just use Send Money to handle the whole thing if you wanted to, but if you do PayPal won't refund their part of the transaction (their fee).  They'll only refund their part if you do it through the refund function.   Al ... Don't rely on the info on the regular PayPal Account page, click on the link to view your Buyer Credit Account.  It will be more up-to-date than the PayPal account page.  There you should see your balance, how much the minimum payment due is, and when it is due.  You can also make a payment there, and see a history of past payments.   Al ... Are you saying that you should have $100 charged to your Buyer Credit, and the payment due on the PayPal page says "0 due"?   Have you clicked on the link to view your Buyer credit account information?  There should be up to date info there, such as what your balance is, how much the minimum payment is and what date it is due.  The info on your regular PayPal account page is sometimes not up to date.   If there is a payment due, you should also get a statement sent to your home address, and possibly an email message.   Al ... Yes, it's called PayPal buyer credit, it's a credit line that has a given limit, you can choose to fund purchases with it, and you pay monthly payments like a credit card.  And there is no interest charged if you pay back the charges within a certain period.   Al ... View more

With any auction that takes PayPal, you can use your Buyer Credit to pay for the item.  When you click the pay it now button, and choose PayPal, you will see that the first option is to pay using the balance in your PayPal account, if there is not enough in there you can choose a backup source.  But there is also another option that says something like "switch to Paypal Buyer Credit to fully fund this purchase"  (paraphrasing).  You can then switch to fully funding the purchase with the buyer credit, and they will take nothing out of your PayPal account.  The seller you contacted probably doesn't know if you have Buyer Credit or not, all he cares about is that the money is paid to him through PayPal.  He gets it either way, and I doubt he even will know where the funds came from besides coming from PayPal.  So if you want to use your buyer credit, just look for any auction that takes PayPal.   Al ...
