I filed an item not as described through PayPal because I received a heavily and obviously damaged package from usps. The package came in a usps bin with a note that said "we care" and a lengthy note aging that the package was damaged in transit. It is damaged because the seller didn't tape the flat rate box well enough so it opened in transit and the contents fell out all over the place becoming damaged. I purchased this item from one of those "special" kind of sellers who immediately accused me of ripping him/her off and called PayPal. The seller told PayPal that the item says its damaged in the listing and that got PayPal to close the claim in the sellers favor. The thing is that the item which was mildly damaged and still usable sustained substantial further damage making it unusable in transit. So I called PayPal and explained this but hey said because of the dollar amount I need an affidavit from a lawyer or a form from usps saying the package was damaged in transit to prove it was damaged in transit. My question s, how am I supposed to obtain an affidavit from a lawyer to prove it was damaged and/or will usps give me a form admitting it was damaged int transit. I mean is till have the bin with the tag from USPS saying it was damaged. Anybody know how to go about this or has anybody dealt with this before? ... View more

I had a buyer open a claim against me for item significantly not as described. PayPal said they could be refunded if they sent the item back to me.  The buyer uploaded return tracking information which I was following.  I checked back today and the racking number has disappeared and it says a paypal claim specialist is reviewing the case.  What happened to my tracking number?  Why would they remove it? There is nothing to review until the item reaches me right? ... View more

I buy opened an Item Significantly not as Described case against me this week.  They buyer claims I sent them a fake item but I am %100 sure it is a real item.  I told the buyer to return the item and I would refund them.  Buyer escalated the dispute to a claim.  PayPal told the byer to return the item to me and then they buyer would be refunded. Buyer then submitted tracking.  The thing is that when I sent the package I sent the item to California in the US but the item is being returned to me through JP Post from Tokyo Registered Mail. PayPal is waiting to confirm tracking but Im neverous this may be a scam.  Is there anything I can do?  If I receive an empty box am i just the next person scammed by the Paypal system?  And will I have to sign for the registered amil from japan? ...
