While I haven't been ripped off by this "fee" yet, I am expecting to be.  I have no choice but to use Green Dot because PP won't allow me to deposit funds to my account any other way.  I get a message page any time I log onto my account telling me to go to the Resolution page to solve some mythical problem.  This must be done before I can add any funds, it says.  OK, but the Resolution page says there are no problems and never have been.  Repeated emails to PP get gibberish for replies.  I finally got one claiming I needed to verify my email by clicking the link within the message.  The link didn't work!  I haven't changed my email address in decades, and everything in my Profile is correct.  So, I get to keep paying $4.95 for a Green Dot card every time I buy something for $10.  I may be paranoid, but since eBay owns PayPal, I wonder just who owns Green Dot?  They apparently all use the same ignorant, non-responsive, foreign dufases for customer (dis)service. ... For well over a month, whenever I log onto my PP account there is a message I have an unresolved issue and that I should go the resolution page. OK, but that page shows there are no issues, and never have been. So, I write PP. The reply is a couple of links that have zero to do with the problem, so I write PP again. This time I get a reply saying I need to confirm my email address, and to click the link contained within the message. The link does nothing, so I go to my account Profile. There, everything is as it should be. I haven't changed my email address in many years, so there's no telling what PP is up to now. Another message to PP gets no answer other than I will get an answer in "24-48 hours". That was weeks ago. Now I may not be a Donald Trump, but I must have more business sense than the nice folks at PP. If I can't deposit money to my account, I can't buy anything. If I don't buy anything, PP doesn't make any money off me. So, anybody have a clue what's their point? ... View more

Why not simply request to cancel the transaction through eBay and have the buyer agree?  Then, have the buyer send you a USPS money order, ship the watch when received and mark it paid in eBay.  If you agree to pay the $20 for overnight mail, you will actually have your money both faster and cheaper.  There is no rule that says you can't accept money orders, and the buyer still is protected by eBay Buyer Protection.  You don't need any "protection" (Nonexistant, anyway) from PayPal, because you have the cash.  The greedy gestapo partnership of eBay and PayPal has come up with enough ways to screw people that it will surely be their undoing. ...
