Debit Card debited instead of Paypal Account

Hi, I'm from Malaysia. I have decided to set up PayPal account before making online purchases from Asos, an online boutique from UK. I linked my PP account with a Malaysian local bank here. I topped up some credit to my PP account from my local bank acc. The topped up was successful, so I proceeded to make purchases online.   Upon confirming my purchases and successful payment method via PP, I check my PP acc and there weren't any changes on my credit. I thought that there were some transaction delay on PP, so I check my local bank acc, and realised that the payment was debited from there.       My credit in PP was not used, and I have since withdrew the credit from PP back into my local bank account, but was left with a bitter taste in my mouth as I was baffled by this whole confusing system.   1) I have to pay additional fee for withdrawal, and it takes few days transfer my money back to my account. 2) On PayPal FAQ it says that "When you make a payment or send money, PayPal uses your PayPal balance first to cover the payment. If your PayPal balance doesn't cover the transaction, the bank account, credit card, or debit card you linked to your PayPal account will be used for the payment."   Please advice. Thank you. ...
