Nothing really new to see here. This kind of thing happens all the time. I was scammed out of a large sum of money and even after 4 phone calls, an email, and providing as much information as I possibly could: the PayPal representatives seemed to have absolutely no interest in resolving my case. They essentially told me they would NOT look into my case, because they do things in a "consistent" way. The scenario I had described was the most obvious case of fraud I've ever dealt with, yet they ignored the information provided and told me "Sorry, there's nothing we can do." Scammers can do a chargeback claim at any time and there's nothing you can do about it. They WILL get away with it, you WILL lose your money. Tough luck. Want to avoid this scenario? Don't use PayPal.
