I just made a purchase on Ebay using Paypal and was informed that it will take about a week for my payment to be credited to seller. In spite of my having changed source of payment from bank account to credit card the payment was processed as an echeck. I have made many purchases in the past and it seems if the payment method is not changed each time it always reverts to a bank account payment. Even so I have never had that 7 day processing delay response in the past. This time before I paid I had forgotten to change the preferred payment method, but it probably would not have made a difference anyway. Why has Paypal made these changes without a banner statement on their payment page announcing that? Sellers quote a specific shipping time but are they aware that payment via Paypal now takes a week. I paid immediately and would expect delivery within the specified stated period - maybe I will, butif not will definitely post a neg feedback as seller should have known to allow for an extra week and did not offer to take credit cards or bank transfers. In future will not deal with any Ebay seller who does not take credit cards. As a seller I will no longer accept Paypal - only credit cards. Yes, I have to pay 3% or so but Paypal is not that much less anyway but at least with a CC the payment is immediate. My problem is compounded even further as the seller is in Aus & I am in US. Ebay just seems to get worse!
