I sold an item to the seller, who then opened a dispute within hours of buying the item from me on Ebay (and messaging me after purchasing). They purchased the item at 22:00, before I even had chance to post the item the following morning! They knew exactly what they were doing as I have emailed other sellers they've bought similar items from, and they've also been issued with charge-backs and had their money taken through PayPal. Firstly, with the dispute, it was open for less than 24 hours, then I was sent a resolution email and the money that was 'held' by Paypal was sent back into my account (before I even had time supply postage details for my side of the case!)... So I presumed that was it... The buyer had paid for and recieved the item, and I had the payment. But I login 2 days later to find its been reversed again, and closed, with the money taken back out of my account. Now I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON as there hasn't been any further dispute/reasoning or even an explantion via email to what has taken place... just money being held, refunded, then taken again. The item/auction has also been removed from eBay, with no reason given (so I have no valid item number to click-on and link to complain through their long-winded contact methods). The transaction doesn't show up in my 'items sold in last 7 days' section either. The original chargeback Paypal ID also shows up as 'invalid' on the Paypal site. So... my money has been refunded to the buyer via a reversal (he's done the same to 4 other sellers i've contacted!) AND I have no means of progressing through either companys complaints proceedures. I have emailed Paypal multiple times and await their response. To sum it all up... I have sent the item, I have proof of postage & tracking to a confirmed adress (less than an hour's drive from my home), the buyer has got the item, and I've had the funds taken from my account... Where is the so-called Seller Protection!?
