I have noticed a similar issue on various websites over the years, and found that some of those sites will allow copy/paste of passwords and confirming passwords if done with the old DOS keyboard shortcuts Ctrl-A (select All), Ctrl-C (Copy) and Ctrl-V (Paste), rather than with a mouse (or other pointing device) and GUI menu selections.   I don't think there is always an actual company 'policy' involved, it is likely just the way the particular page was built by a web designer, and perhaps how or when they learned/started doing such things.   Good Luck! ... I'm not sure if you are speaking only as a seller, or both a buyer and seller? So far, I've only been an eBay buyer, and find the available note spaces on the My eBay pages, along with user created lists, to be adequate for almost every type of detail I might need to add to an item entry. No, you should not be worried. It is simply an address to use for reporting spam or phishing messages that spoof PayPal. If there was any need for additional information they would contact you. Otherwise do not expect a response.   But if the original message had actual details about your PayPal account, or showed up on your transactions list, there are other methods you should use for dealing with fraud through PayPal. ...
