I have been trying to link my current bank account to my Paypal account in order to get my hands on some money. Each time I try I get a message which tells me that they will phone me to ensure I own this bank account and then they simultaneously tell me 'For security reasons the phone number you have submitted cannot be confirmed. Please select another phone number" I do not have another phone number. They are driving me mad with frustration and anger. I am beginning to wonder if this isn't deliberate so they can hang on to the cash.

Fine, that's all very well but what do you do when they tell you they are going to phone you to verify the change, and then at the same time tell you to choose another phone number because the one they have they cannot use 'for security reasons.

I have tried several times to change my bank account details and get the message that 'they will phone me to verify. Then I get a further note saying that 'for security reasons they cannot use my phone number and to submit another. They actually do have my correct phone number . Cannot imagine what is going on with this company.
