I have a problem that I've been dealing with for years now, and I've never been able to figure out where to start to even begin to fix it, so I figured I'd post my issue on here in the hopes that someone might be able to at least point me in the right direction... So, we have a PayPal Payments Pro account and our website has a PayPal Express Checkout button configured (originally setup about 2 years ago). When people add their goods to the cart and click "Checkout", it sends them to the PayPal.com "Your Order Summary" page and all the products are perfectly line-itemized beautifully on the standard paypal page with subtotals and everything (Variables populated include: name of the product at the top of each line item and a price under "Amount" to the right, then below are Item Description, Item Number, Item Price, and Quantity. But then, for reasons that are completely unknown to me, when the order is paid for by the customer and I then go to fulfill the order, it's as if the field mappings get totally screwed up. Specifically, if I go to "Transaction Details", there's no line item breakdown of what is in the order, just a looong sentence under "Order Description" of what was contained in the order, which appears to be formatted as "Item Name x Quantity" and that repeats over and over for every line item in the order. Then if I click "Print Packing Slip", there's nothing at all in this view whatsoever that refers to what's in the order. The fields populated are always the following "Qty: 1", "Website: [our website address]", "Item Number: n/a", "Description: [customers first and last name]", Amount: [total amount for the customers order]. Then even worse, when I use the PayPal Multi-Order Shipping tool, Absolutely no information about the order is sent over except for the customers address... no line items, no item details, no totals, no nothing. With that background out of the way, my question is... what falls apart between the checkout screen, which is formatted perfectly, and the Packling Slip/Multi-Order Shipping tool, which contains no useful information? The way I want it to work is, I go strait to multi-order shipping, download all the transactions for the day, and print them out. Everything is done from that one place. Is there some kind of "config" screen in PayPal or something where I need to manually map what fields go to where when an order is submitted, or when order details go to the Multi-Order Shipping wizard? Or does anyone have any idea as to where the mess-up in the chain might be occurring or where I should begin? Any help at ALL, would be sooo unbelievably appreciated.
