The buyer authorises the seller to take money from their PayPal account to pay for a purchase. The status of your authorisation appears in your PayPal transaction history under ‘Payment status.’ Here are the 5 statuses of an authorisation: Pending: The seller hasn’t accepted the payment yet. Some sellers wait until an item has been posted and received before they accept the payment. In Progress: A partial amount of the payment has been accepted. Complete: The seller accepted the entire payment amount. Voided: The seller cancelled the payment. Expired: A payment automatically expires after 30 days.
