Hi, How can PayPal deduct payment from my account when the buyer has NOT paid for the item? Buyer deposited payment yet did not transfer it to my account, left it "Pending"..................... Since writing the above, I discovered it is PayPal who is holding payment. My problem is with a dishonest buyer who is claiming the item is not as described. Sometime after complaining about a different problem with me as a seller, she must have decided to try another tact and complained I had not mailed the item for a week, which is true because I had a chest infection which developed into bacterial pneumonia. I emailed the buyer to explain and asked her to forgive the delay, then she complained to eBay about feedback I had left, after the negative she left me. I managed to have the neg. withdrawn but was really tarred and feathered by eBay because of my notation, which I must say was not as bad as they deemed it. I simply mentioned that the buyer had a history of leaving neg. feedback for little or no reason. I always check my buyer/seller feedback prior to sending or paying for an item etc….this time I made a foolish mistake by telling myself it would be okay! When I complained about the neg feedback the buyer wrote:….. “Feedback I leave will accurately reflect the quality of service I revived from you which is appropriate within ebay's guideline. Not only did you fail to ship the item for over a week, you also ignored my request for delivery status and then you accused me of lying about receiving the item when it is so clear if you had checked the last date that I sent my message and the delivery date of the item. If a positive feedback is so important to you, you should work hard to earn it and not threaten your buyer. Feel free to request eBay to review my feedback. I only leave negative feedback when it is deserved”. This was prior to the buyer finding the “faults” in the item!!!! I honestly believe the buyer simply changed her mind. I have been a member of eBay since 1996 almost since it conception. I was living in the US and had a work permit, selling china and glass pieces, eBay was then sensational, the fees were reasonable and sellers could receive payment in any form they desired. Sadly this changed, the “bigger” eBay got, the more difficult it was to make a profit from sales via their site. I feel I have written a novel, yet haven't mentioned a lot of the complaints the buyer managed to dig up about me. Her time-line is off so I hope eBay will discover this when and if they review the case.
