I have over $500 in my paypal account. It's all unavailable to me, despite the fact that all but one of my sold items have shipped and been received by the buyers.  I've tried calling, emailing, talking, and yelling at Paypal.  All that happens is my life span shortens due to elevated stress levels.  They don't care to help.  Hell, I'm on hold now waiting for a supervisor.  I've been on hold for FORTY MINUTES.  I have speaker phone so I'll sit here all darn day if I have to! My issue is this: SELLERS pay PAYPAL a fee to process the transaction but they spend a great deal of time protecting buyers and do nothing to protect sellers.  We are dirt.  The reps like to claim they protect sellers by insuring packages shipped with FedEx/ UPS.  However, these insurances are available free of charge (for packages up to $100) to any FedE/ UPS customer regardless of whether they used Paypal or not. Paypal does NOT offer this service and should not be promoting the fact that they do.  It's a flat-out lie.  In addition, when I listed my items on Ebay, I included a shipping charge. NOT a REIMBURSEMENT SHIPPING CHARGE.  I clearly state in my listings that I will ship items "within 2 days of receiving cleared payment".  Any idiot knows that a cleared payment means that the funds are readily available.  With the hold on my funds, I have to front shipping charges and sit around and wait for the day that Paypal is feeling generous enough to give me my own damn money.  Complete BS! ... Sorry to break it to you, but even if you meet all the criteria, and call and email Paypal to "hurry up" as the above "advisor" instructs, it still won't happen.  Paypal gets their cut before the money hits your account and they don't give a damn if you ever get your money. They seem to think buyers propel their business when it's in fact sellers who pay them.  Their service stinks.  Call them and I guarantee you'll talk to an Indian. ... View more

Good luck!  I've been emailing and calling Paypal about HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS on hold in my account.  The buyers have received their items, but I have yet to receive my money. It seems that as long as Paypal gets paid, they don't give a damn about sellers.  I hate to break it to them, but we are what keeps Paypal in business and their customers!  Buyers don't pay Paypal fees, sellers do! I have yet to get an email back (other than those stupid automated messages). When I spoke to a supervisor at Paypal last week about this, (who was obviously in India), she flat out said "paypal **bleep**...we don't do anything to protect sellers".  This was of course, after she attempted to tell me that Paypal protects sellers by insuring our packages.  Sorry, but this is a service provided by UPS & FedEx, NOT paypal.  Any FedEx/ UPS customer can utilize these benefits without paypal!
