How long it stays as pending is up to the merchant but a lot of them have a system where if a payment is not picked up after 30 days then it is cancelled. However you talk about being refunded. Normally payments are not made until the merchant despatches the goods and pending changes to completed, so your money should still be in your account. However when i paid for an item x2 by mistake....DUH, I just rang my c.c. company and the pending funds were released by them back to my account.
