Andy, In PAYPAL's FAC, I'll try putting the link here: https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=marketing_us/IRS6050W It says the new regulations apply to users that " receive over $20,000 in gross payment volume AND over 200 separate payments in a calendar year". I just order a couple hundred dollars a year on games and books. It's nowhere near a thousand, let alone twenty thousand, but my account is locked down. My account is tied to my bank account which I had to give all that information to by federal law to open the account. So why would Paypal require me ( and it sounds like a lot of others) to provide this information if Paypal only needs this information from the over $20,000 group? And yes, I'll probably drop paypal and ebay, and use my credit card on Amazon. I have a credit card with a $500 limit tied to Amazon and they have one click buying if you set up an account so it's no hassel. I'm not sure how low you can set up a credit card but I figured I could survive the $500 if it got hacked but the one time someone got the number the credit card company stopped it and closed the account before they even called me and I got a new card in just three days, so now as I ramble on here, I'm thinking I have my solution already. Thanks, I feel a lot better now.
