Our website Bikhuk.com has chosen to use Paypal as a payment gateway, since we mostly sell international. We even got a lot of regular customers that opened a paypal account, so they could buy from us directly. But today I got a letter asking us to remove paypal from our website, this after doing millions of turnover for the last few years. All this because we are selling kratom, a herb, and according to Paypal this is a harmful herb, someone suddenly came to this conclusion , but this is simply not the case. Our business is going to suffer big time due to this and I will have to fire people. Paying tens of thousands per year in commission for this "service" and then getting a day to change our payment gateway. Did Paypal not earn from our business for all these years as well? Copy of the letter is included below. Dear Putri, I am really sorry to inform you that due to the change on policy, now PayPal unable to receive any payment for Kratom products. Kratom that has psychoactive effects and is harmful to human body is now being black listed to be sold on every countries. The product is now in violation of FDA, and now cannot be sold in any country (without any country / area's exception). This action have to be done by May 24th 2012. A failure to do so will get your PayPal account restricted.
