It isn't just the Apple Quicktime pop up people are getting.  For some people... the Paypal website will ask you to install "Windows Media Player".     So they have to fix this so we don't get either one....    Apple Quicktime and Windows Media Player pop ups...... let's get rid of both..... ...   That's pretty strange.  As we can see... Paypal has a problem.... and it may  be developing into a serious problem that could cost them many members if this problem spreads and as news of the problem  spreads.   People may leave Paypal.. as I am giving thought to do....  and other people and businesses that may have had thoughts of joining may decide not to join.      That's sad... because Paypal has the potential to be an excellent service...and I believed it was indeed an excellent service.      All I can say is that they better get to work on this in a serious way and solve the problem....  people don't want to wait forever for a solution, and we don't want to log in someday and only to find that our accounts have been wiped out because of a possible security breach that was allowed to remain and fester. ... Great..... I uninstall Apple Quick Time and don't get the Apple drop down install thing now when I log into my Paypal account.      Instead... now I get "This website wants to run the following add-on: 'Windows Media Player Extension' from 'Microsoft Corporation'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to allow it to run, click here..."        What the heck ? ? ?      Windows XP, Internet Explorer 8 with all updates, Microsoft Security Essentials,  Super Anti-spyware Free Edition, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, Spybot Search and Destroy, all with the latest signiture files and run. No virus or malware found.      Can Paypal figure out what the **bleep** is going on here? ? ... View more

I'm a Canadian with a Paypal account up here in Canada, and I've also noticed that Apple install drop down. I've always refused to install it.    As far as running scans, I run Microsoft Security Essentials with up-dated signature files, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware with up-dated files, Super Anti-spyware free edtion with updated files, and Spybot Search and Destroy with up-dated files and have found nothing on my system.       Not sure why I'm getting this drop down asking me if I want to install Apple when I log into my Paypal account.      Windows XP, Internet Explorer 8 all updated.     When accessing my account on my Eee PC netbook computer running Leeenux Linux, I don't get that drop down Apple install thing at all.  It just comes up on my desk top computer running Windows XP.      Let's hope that Paypal can figure this out. ...
