PayPal Community

I have recently linked to my accounts to PayPal, and they have been confirmed. Last week I made some small purchases, and according to my PayPal account, they came out of my bank account - presumably by the direct debit I had set up. I have received some of the items I bought already, but my bank account still doesn't show the payments as having been debited.    Does PayPal only take direct debits at certain times? If so, how long does it take for them to go through? I thought the idea of direct debits is that they are instant. ... View more

I have logged into my account, and generated a Buy Now button no problem. The problem is that when I put the code in the description of an item, it just adds the item to the cart, and doesn't take the customer to the PayPal page to pay.  So any ideas what I am doing wrong please?
