Thanks but this looks to be the way forward: Linnworks It might not do it all but, for me, even the free version is a quantum leap forward. They seem very well established and it's probably better to look at changing my way of doing things at my relatively embryonic stage than get into bespoke s/w.     I spent years in IT and know that a) Bespoke can be pricey with no guarantee it will ever work b) Better is the enemy of 'good enough' c) Find the best way to achieve your objective or you risk just being inefficient faster  ... Software to manage eBay, PayPal, Amazon, Google Ch...

I sell on eBay, via my various sites using PayPal and Google Checkout, Amazon, Barnes & Noble (next to nothing) and need software to consolidate everything in one place.   The products are mainly individual ietms and rope sold in fixed lengths or by the metre. Fixed lengths can have different finishing options, e.g. colour or finish and are sold individually or in 2,4, 6, 8 sets. At present, I don't think I can use the variations option in eBay listings in all the categories I use so most are individual listings. As this might become available, I guess the ability to have listings with options would be useful but I do not require 'parts explosion'. You can see my eBay shop here: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/ESINEM-Rope and my Amazon one here:http://www.amazon.com/gp/searc…..1356876292   Even this small volume is taking a lot of time so I'm looking for an economical solution to reduce work:   Minimum requirements   1) Print a single picking list 2) Print address labels 3) Provide a means of creating pre-paid post and allow courier shipping (via Interparcel, if poss, as they allow me to choose the best option from FedEx, UPS etc.) 4) Update status on eBay, Amazon, Google & PayPal 5) Consolidated reports 6) Ability to link to easy to use accounting software. Suggestions?    Nice to have:   1) One point for inventory upload/listing editing 2) Email address export 3) Ability to add additional eCommerce sites and integrate with my planned eCommerce added to my site (I'm open to suggestions for a WordPress plugin for this) 4) Links to other selling sites. Play.com etc.? 5) Any suggestions?   I'd welcome suggestions re software and what else I should be looking for as I'm new to all this. For example, ido I need a shopping cart to integrate with PayPal for non-eBay sales and Google checkoout. Thanks. ... View more

I am getting frequent "Internet Explorer cannot display page" errors with some PayPal options. This happens most often with printing postage labels. Setting PayPal up as a 'trusted site' might have helped but it's still a nightmare taking hours to process a few orders due with all the retries, re-boots etc.   Is it just me or a PayPal issue? ... Often this is due to their software not accepting some symbols and foreign characters. Why an international system doesn't allow accents etc. or give useful error messages is beyond me. ... View more

I have exactly the same problem. It has got so bad now that I can't print labels at all. Have tried another but that's no better. I had heard IE 9 wasn't compatibel but my main PC is on IE 8 so that's not it.   I heard something about an upgrade to the somewhat basic lable printing s/w from Pitney Bowes. Any news? There really are some big improvement to be made, e.g. recognising foreign characters and accents, it asks for county then doesn't print it on teh label, need for stored customs descriptions, ability to batch orders of teh same items, printing on A4 labels 4 to sheet without having to waste half and  turn the paper...I could go on but I really would expect better from a company withspecialising in supporting business postage printing.   @ topprop08 PayPal label printing doesn't seem to work with anything apart from IE, AFAIK. ...
