Paypal have paid an invoice for ebay sellers fees on my account for £75.54, on a pre-approved payment. I haven't sold on ebay in years, it looks as though my last invoice from ebay was 31 July 2015 & that was for 0 amount. (I don't know how to see any further back in my account) I no longer have automatic payments set up on ebay. A Paypal CS agent advised me to cancel my DD to paypal before the money is taken from my account which I've done but my bank account is still obviously linked, so I'm guessing the money can still be taken from there. I've spent hours on the phone between Paypal & ebay to try & find out how or where these charges have come from, ebay say that my PP account has been compromised as they haven't asked for the money and I have no outstanding invoices on my account, they apparently can't look at the invoice number or transaction id to see where the money has gone. I opened a dispute on Paypal for an unauthorised payment, which they've closed as they're saying it's an ebay fee. Somewhere along the line, one of my accounts has presumably been hacked, I've changed all passwords that I use online. I don't know where I go from here or how I try to resolve the issue, talking to either of them is getting me nowhere fast. I emailed ebay yesterday and sent screenshots of the PP invoice & email saying that the dispute has been closed, but I don't know how long they take to respond. I don't know if I've posted this on the correct board. Has anyone else had this happen & have any advice on how to resolve it. I would appreciate any help.
