Hello all. New member here. Please help me with this issue. Received the item but not as described. Contacted the seller and opened a CASE with both Ebay and Paypal. The seller has sent me messages agreeing to issue the full refund. He, however, has asked me to CLOSE to close the case first before he can issue me the refund. His reason was that Paypal and Ebay have placed his money on HOLD status. Does this sound reasonable at all? I thought that the seller could just go ahead and refund the money, and once I have received the money into my account, only then I should close the case. I hate to cause the seller any trouble since he must work for his money as the rest of us. But I do have a concern here. TRUST BUT VERIFY. Since he has sent me a FAKE merchandise ( he claimed he bought it from another person and that person told him the item was authentic.) should I trust that he will refund the money if I CLOSE the case first?
