I had a buyer who ordered 15 boxes of slipcovers from me, paid $830 via paypal, I shipped the items (105 lbs total) same day with insurance and signature required (i took pictures ofn each box as well), then never heard back from the buyer until I was asked to issue a refund? I asked "refund for what?" yet the buyer refused to communicate with me about the reasons why the returned and what amounts were returned. then a paypal claim followed for "items not meeting the description" (which the buyer never stated they were), i also saw that there was indeed a return made, yet it was sent to the wrong address (my old address, different from the one on the original sale and boxes that were mailed to him, both addresses are registered on my paypal account, so i believe this is where he got it from) I was able to recover the package that was returned by the buyer to the wrong address, a family member signed for it, and it turns out i received 20lb worth of merchandise out of the 105lbs sent. A police report was filed, just in case. Now paypal decided in the favor of the buyer since the returned package was signed for....despite that my tracking number says package is 105lbs, vs his package which is only 20lbs... he only sent 5 boxes back out of the 15 ordered (i have pictures and ups tracking shows the actual weight), there is also a note that he wrote included in the package: a copy of the original invoice with markings saying he's returning 5 boxes, and asking for a $300 something refund....yet paypal granted him a full refund of $830?! what chances do i have with a paypal appeal on this case? I submitted 5 pictures of the packages (mine and his), the shipping labels, and the invoice with his note... also, anybody familiar with these types of scams?
