Okay, I recently bought something, filed a claim, and had it approved by Paypal. I waited the 7 days, and I recieved an email saying We have concluded our investigation into your case and have decided in your
favor.
You have indicated that a partial refund of $xx USD would be
satisfactory.
We were able to recover $xx USD and this amount has been credited to
you. Please allow five business days for this adjustment to be posted.
If you are due any additional funds, we will make our best effort to
recover the balance from the seller.
If the seller's account has insufficient funds to complete the refund owed
to you, please be assured that we will take appropriate action against the
seller's account, which may include limitation of the seller's account
privileges. A day later, I got an email saying The refund sent by ******* (********) did not clear from the sender's bank. You have not received funds for this payment in your PayPal account.
Please contact ******* regarding this refund.
Refund details:
Amount: $xx USD
Sender: xx
Sender's email: xx
Transaction ID: xx
Transaction date: Mar. 16, 2011 I contacted the seller, and they complained that their account was in the negative. I suggested that he transfer the money into his account, and he believes that if he does so, the money will just disappear into Paypal's hands. I believe that it he puts the money in, it will be deposited into my account.
