Hi,  We want to do exactly the same thing - purchase an item from a Chinese company, but would like to know what conversion charges we will accrue before making the final commitment.  Our price is $378 US Dollars, so what will it total including the conversion rate?  I cannot make head nor tail of the explanation on PayPal website!  Who makes the charge?  Is it the manufacturer, PayPal or my bank? ... HI PAULA I AM IN A SIMILAR SITUATION TO UR PREVIOUS POSTER. I AM ABOUT TO SEND MONEY TO CHINA THROUGH MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT FOR SOME GOODS IM BUYING IN CHINA. THEY TOO HAVE ASKED ME FOR US DOLLARS. I AM NEW TO THIS. I HAVE HEARD THAT PAYPAL ONLY RELEASE THE MONEY TO THE MANUFACTURER AFTER I CONFIRM THAT I HAVE RECEIVED THE GOODS. IS THIS CORRECT?
