I am encountering the same problem. I put my mustang up on craigslist and got a response within the hour. Without seeing any pictures or requesting any information about my car, he offered to buy it for the full amount. He did say he wanted to make the transaction through pay pall and make sure the payment cleared before he got the car, but the situation is almost identical: He is military overseas right now and wants to buy my car as a "promise gift" to his boss. He wants to pay me in full, and after it clears he will have his pickup agent come pick up the car. I have no idea if it is legit, but it concerns me that you have the exact problem I am having. If anyone can offer advice for us it would be great.
