My seller states a 30 day money back guarantee with no question asked. Now the seller is refusing to provide me information for returning my purchased item. Will PayPal protect me from this because the seller is breaking their own advertising promise?   Thank you. ... View more

Sadly you can't file a dispute if it was sent as Gift.  PayPal protection is only available for purchases not personal gift.   Sellers aren't supposed to be requesting buyers to send payments as a Gift, it is against PayPal's TOS (not 100% sure about this. I remember reading this after seeing a lot of sellers asking buyers to send payment as gift to save fee).     ... View more

I don't like saying this, but unfortunately you will lose any case if the buyer decides to open one. I had a similar case not too long ago.The buyer was from Italy. It seemed like the buyer KNEW that the shipping method will not get tracked. For Paypal case, if the tracking status does not say it is "delivered". Then the buyer wins. That is what was said on the PayPal guideline email that was sent out after I lost the case.     ... View more

I don't know if it is still possible. Can you still open up a "Item not as described" claim with PayPal? I am in a similar boat. My seller agrees to ship a replacement but I still haven't received it. I THINK the time frame to open up a dispute is within 45 days (I might be wrong though). So what I will be doing is when it has about 4-5 days left I will open up an Item Not as Described claim with PayPal. I don't know if it is doable at the moment for you or no. Cancel a "pending payment" of an "Order to" purcha...

I have made  an order purchase online. My Paypal says "Pending" with type "Order to". The inspiration date for the payment is Jan 2012 (-_-) ...    I contacted the customer service of the merchant, and the representative said that it would take 48 hours for the system to update sometimes. It has been almost a week and there is no update.    To make things worse, the items that I ordered are still in the shopping cart of the merchant site. There is no order in my "Order History" in the merchant site. The customer service just tells me that they have no record of my order.    So my last resort would be to cancel this payment. Is it possible? It was a payment made using PayPal credit card, and the statement hasn't been generated yet so I am not 100% sure whether the payment was approved or no. I don't want to get charged interested for a payment that did not go through (>_<)   Please help. Thank you in advance.  ... View more

For e-check payment that I received before, it took approximately 3-5 business days to clear and become available in my account.    If you load your PayPal first, then future payment will be instant (as long as your funds support the amount you need to pay).    I hope this helps! 🙂      ...
