Yep, I'm getting the same thing when I try and add money from my bank account and there's no way to resolve it in the resolution center. I have tried calling a rep and they're pretty much clueless. Even an 'account specialist' can't help you at all. I'm like 'whatever' at this point. If it's fixed then great and if not...I don't care anymore. My eBay activity has completely stopped. I haven't purchased an item in about 5 months now because of this. I'll only log on to paypal just to check if the error message is gone. Other than that I don't care about this site anymore... I mean there are other options. I really don't need eBay. It was great while it lasted but I'm not about to give any personal information out if I'm a verified member already.

Don't give in brother. Stand your ground. I refuse to link my bank account. My limit has not been reached and they're declining my purchases. They want to annoy me so much that I'll finally give in and verify my account. Never.

I am currently having the same difficulties friend. You are not alone in this fight. It's not about limits. We haven't reached our limits. I know what my limit is yet they insist that I have reached my spending limit of 175.63. What a freaking joke. Don't ask me to add a debit or credit card when I have the necessary funds to purchase the items I won and I'm well under my limit. Security reasons my arse! Confirm my address? I've bought 11 items on eBay. They were all received. This is getting really annoying.

I would like to cash out too. How would that work for unverified members? If you can't send me a check or money order, how about letting me spend my 35 bucks and clear my remaining balance?

I won two items on eBay and I can't pay for them because apparently I have reached my limit. My limit of ...175.63. lol Hilarious. PayPal couldn't even wait until I reached 200. I mean how strange to set a limit at 175 and some change? Or maybe I'm being cutoff for some reason. Isn't the spending limit for unverified members 250? Whatever. I don't care anymore. I'm taking the rest of my money out. If I can even do that without being verified. Can I? How does that work? Do they send me a check/moneyorder?

[UPDATE] I just successfully completed a transaction with another service. So it is not PayPal's fault and I do apologize. The problem was the site itself you see chess.com has monthly recurring billing. It automatically grabs your money for a period of time a year I don't know. That is the reason PayPal needed a debit or credit card so chess.com could doc me 7 bucks a month. Seems like my beef was with them and not you. I'm very sorry and thank you for all you do.

I'm not going to verify my account ever and once I do reach my limit, I think I'll put PayPal a side for a long long time. I think PayPal is great, and the whole ebay and paypal experience has been pretty much enjoyable for me to be honest with you. But I'm not going to link a credit card or my bank with you guys. I'm sorry. I've heard awful stories. Anyway, for right now, I do have a positve amount of funds in my paypal account and I haven't reached my limit. I would like to use that money to do what whatever I need to do. Don't ask me to add a NEW debit or credit card because It's not going to happen. Nice try though,
