I sold an item and through the forum I sold it on, it stated it was the buyers responsibility to pay for both shipping and insurance. I packaged the item extremely well and checked it before shipping to make sure that it was still in perfect condition. The buyer did pay for both the shipping and insurance. I shipped through UPS. When the item arrived to the buyer, he said it was damaged. Now my question is, who is responsible for filing a claim on insurance? He wants his money back and to ship it back to me, but I am being told that once it left my hands I am no longer responsible for it-especially since he is the once that purchased the insurance. I am not getting anywhere with UPS-the manager only works Mon-Thur and the people working there had no idea about anything. Please give me any advice you can on this issue-it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thank you.
