I'm in the same boat, hadn't used PP or Ebay in 5-6 yrs, was alot easier and cheaper back then, all pkgs I sold have been delivered except the one I sent today. Once I get rid of the things I'm selling I'm transferring my money to my bank and am done with Ebay and PP.

Hello! I"m sure it's not going to make you feel any better but I and alot of other people have had Paypal and Ebay do the same thing to us! I closed all my auctions and returned the money people had sent to me and now I have several things that will be "unpaid items" because I have no money in my account to pay for them. At this point I am concerned with the legality of what they have done!! I NEVER linked my personal banking accounts to either Paypal or Ebay but a lot of other people have. If they can hold or take money out of this account what else can they do with your personal accounts?? If I were you I would break the link between these companies and any other bank accounts you may have. I feel at this point that they are capable and willing to do ANYTHING TO GET MORE MONEY AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT WHO OR WHERE IT COMES FROM! Be careful and be smart and tell others you know to do the same. This may be illegal and there may be something we ALL can do about it but we should be smart in the meantime! Good Luck

I have written to both Ebay and Paypal and asked to be shown where, in the agreement that I "signed" does it say that I gave either of them the right to HOLD, OR USE MY MONEY?? I have not been able to find any mention anywhere that states they have a right to my money and I know that I didn't make them "partners" in my business so who gave them the legal right to do this? I never linked my personal banking accounts with either of these companies but I know that many people have. Does this NEW policy mean that they can also withdraw funds from your checking or savings accounts? I truly believe that what they are doing is illegal and perhaps we should all be more concerned with what the can do now and not just what they've done so far. I wonder where their control over OUR MONEY ends?? Please let me know if you have an answer?
