I purchased some Mach 3 Turbo blades off ebay which turned out to be counterfeit. I had no idea there were fake blades and stumbled upon this information by chance. Had I known, I would not have purchased to begin with. The listing offered them up as brand name genuine sealed blades. Upon receiving the item and careful inspection and use of one the blades, it is quite obvious these are fake. The purchase price was 61.50 US Shipping 9.50 US The seller claims they had no idea or knowledge fake blades even existed and is only willing to refund the 61.50 US upon receiving the blades back at my expense. This would put me out at least 20 dollars if not more simply because they were unaware they had fake blades to begin with. The seller has 100% rating and told me that 61.50 US is their final offer, they won't budge and that I should feel lucky they are even offering that as the blades might not even be fake. I contacted Gillette directly and they told me to contact eBay about authenticity of the blades...I don't understand how eBay would be able to confirm their authenticity. I have emailed Gillette back to see if they can confirm or deny the blades authenticity. Because the item in question is counterfeit and from the listing description I believed I was buying genuine authentic blades...should I have to take a 20 dollar or more loss? Any recommendations on how I should continue this? Keep in mind seller is responsible for the listing and these blades are most likely counterfeit. Should I take the 20 dollar or more loss to get my 61.50 back? If they are confirmed counterfeit, would I receive a complete total refund and not have to pay for shipping return as it is the seller fault to begin with? thank you for your responses and help in advance
