Earlier in the year I sold some jewelry for about $7000.00. 2 months went by and the buyer wanted to return a pair of earrings. I agreed. She sent the earrings to me and I sent the full refund. Because the sale was large I had given her a discount and every item price was documented and agreed to. The earrings sold for $2500.00 and she was refunded $2500.00. Then she filed a chargeback. I spoke with the buyer and she wanted full price of $3200.00 for the earrings even though that was not the sale price. I had $4000.00 removed from my Paypal account from the chargeback. At this point the buyer insisted on $1075.00 being refunded. This makes no sense even if the earrings were refunded full price there was only a $700.00 difference. The $1075.00 refund is a random number. After a month $2925.00 was refunded to me. $1075.00 was the amount being disputed. I did everything right. I had all documentation and Paypal disputed the chargeback. I was told by Paypal I should prevail.and have the money returned in 75 days. In the last month I checked the status of the dispute and my case is closed. I called Paypal and was told that is the extent of Seller protection. Paypal sends feedback to the CC company that the chargeback is unwarrented. After that the case is closed. I never heard anything. $1075.00 just gone. No explanatin from the CC company as to why the buyer gets to keep my merchandise. I would rather have her return EVERYTHING. I would rather refund her the entire purchase price and have my merchandise returned to me. I have been defrauded and $1075.00 has been stolen from me. Paypal seller protection is a joke. I would like feedback as to why the CC company encourages theft and fraud. I would like some one to communicate to me why this woman can steal over a thousand dollars in merchadise and get away with it.
