I purchased an item on eBay for a significant amount of money. The item arrived and did not function. After about a week, the seller finally agreed to accept a return and refund my money. Communication has been slow, but the seller did seem to be willing to sort things out, so I have not filed a claim as of yet. I returned the item, which was received by the seller on Thursday. On Saturday evening, I contacted the seller to get a timeframe for processing the refund. She is now telling me that Paypal will not use her credit card to refund my money and that it has to be a Canadian bank transfer and will take 6-8 days to process and to be patient. I am concerned this is a stall tactic. I have dealt internationally in the past and I thought I remembered that the transaction would at least show up in my account as pending, even if it took some time to clear. Can anyone advise me on this? Does this seem like it is a legitimate delay? Thanks
