My wife received a promotional email that appeared to be from her favorite jewelry website mejuri.com. However, this was a phishing email that took her to 'mejurishop.com'. This is a fraudulent site. They copied the content from mejuri.com, drastically reduced the prices, and removed all contact information from the fake site. During the checkout process, she was taken to Paypal to make the payment, unlike the normal process she was not taken back to the merchant's website to complete the purchase. She received an email from Paypal showing a transaction from 'MiuFanBTS Inc'. Then realizing that this is a fraudulent site, she immediately put in a dispute with PayPal. She selected the closest reason 'unauthorized transaction'. Paypal was very prompt to review the case and close it saying that 'this is not an unauthorized transaction, contact the merchant'. There is no merchant to contact. There is no one available at the Paypal Customer Service Number. The site Mejurishop is still operating, and Paypal is still processing payments. Paypal should shut this merchant down and attend to all disputes properly.
