I made a paypal acoount just because the only option for me was to use an overseas credit card, which was what Paypal promised. Now I cannot make the transaction. My retailer tells me I should ask Paypal. Paypal gives a crappy error message saying " Make payment with some other option". I had ANOTHER option I would not have turned to Paypal in the first place.   IT says Error 10417...is there a resolution for this. I have verified my Credit Card through paypal(waited 7 days for that) and I have also told the bank to authorize the online transactions with Paypal, which was also done. So now what? I've been beating my head, trying to make a payment to a retailer in Australia through paypal but running into an astounding number of problems. I HAVE to make this purchase before the end of the week.   First of all, I created the account because the retailer would not take overseas credit card payments. Then I had to wait 7 days to get the credit card verified by paypal. And now when I try to make the payment I just cant seem to get through. I keep getting the error message 10417...use other payment method.   If I had an option I would have used the 'other' payment method but I can't. Can anyone let me know when this problem will be resolved. I even got authorization from the bank for paypal payments. Is it a problem on the paypal software side?   ... View more
