Id like to know the answer to this too! I make bows and sell them online when people pay with echeck it takes so long and I wont make the item until the payment clears so by that time they are complaining that I take too long :{ Let me know if you find the answer!!! ... View more

Am I entitled to a refund?

So I bought a pageant dress from a lady selling used pageant clothes. I needed it by Feb 5th or a pageant on the 6th. I told seller I was worried dress wouldnt fit my daughter but I really liked it and wanted to try. It was described as a 3t-5, my daughter is 5. She told me if it did not fit I could ship it back.   Seller was very quick to respond through out sale, but once paid would not reply if she had shipped, even though she had been using mobile to reply to me. Finally I told her I was going to file with paypal if she did not reply, she finally replied. Told me she had shipped the dress. When I got the dress (which was missing the bow it said it included) I told her the day it came in days before the pageant, that it would not fit. I told her I would have to ship it back and that I would gladly help her try to sell it to someone else since I have a business page. I never heard back from her. I gave her a week to let me know what to do or agree to a refund because we were hit with a snow storm so I thought maybe she was too. Still nothing from her. So I contacted paypal.   They are reviewing it because she i claiming I used it for the pageant, 1.) The pageant was moved to March because of the massive amounts of snow we got here and I have proof of that. 2.) I told her it wouldn't work BEFORE the peagnt date, the day I got the dress and tried it on my daughter, I didnt wait and have my daughter wear it then say it didnt work, and 3.) My daughter couldnt possibly have worn it because it doesn't fit!!   She is claiming how I said the dress was beautiful when I got it. DUH of course it was beautiful or I wouldnt have bought it! It doesn't change the fact I had to shell out another couple hundred for a dress that actually fits my daughter as described! It isn't my fault she wouldn't respond to me, and paypal even told me I should not ship the dress back until they say!!! So I think she was trying to scam me byu getting me to ship the dress back and keep my money. I hope paypal will side with me. What do you think? ... View more
