I fear common sense is something that the mods fail to have and Paypal T&C ignore.   With rules like that, I'm shocked people still use it.     Noodoo,   I'd remove any automatic payments between Ebay<->paypal. (so they can't automaticly take the funds Drain the paypal account google FOS and contact them.   Paypal did this to me for £400 and it took me 18 months to clear it (Paypal backed down) after debt collectors lol. tho they were a nice company and once told that the FOS were dealing with it, they stopped sending letters and went back to paypal saying that they can't touch it as it's in dispute. ... Unfortunately, as you haven’t sent the item tracked the case will probably close in the buyer’s favour. I know that the buyer asked you to send it without tracking, but you shouldn’t have done this   You have to be joking?   Paypal offer other types of postage other then tracking, there are types of postage that will confirm that a parcel has been delivered to a location that has not got online-tracking.   What you are really saying is that.. anything not sent with the option to track it online can be used to scam the seller out of the item and the money and paypal will sit back and watch it unfold.   Nice ...
To be fully covered for Seller Protection the item would need to have been sent with online tracking
How stupid is this?   Find a seller who has no listing for tracking in the postage tab Buy it Get it delivered. Claim it never arrived Paypal side in your favor due to this rule (as the buyer can't provide tracking details) Win every time ... View more

Speak to the FOS   IF paypal side with the buyer, £4.99 or £499 makes no difference.   Note: their policys in general are laughable and they have to follow uk law, it's just that they won't do it unless forced and harrased to do so.    http://translate.google.com/  is good at German from what I've found, but keep all records, dates, times, if you print anything off, google how to see the E-mail headers as well in the print outs. ...
The tracking number is needed in order to be covered for seller protection and without that we are relying on the buyer to confirm delivery. Proof of postage wouldn't be enough I’m afraid.
Then "Proof of postage" isn't  "proof of postage" to Paypal, but it is to everything else?   The claim was started as, not what she expected meaning, she got SOMETHING in the post from the seller,   so what you are saying is that.... the buyer has stated they got a parcel, the seller has legal (yes it's legal proof in the eyes of UK law) that a parcel was send and that isn't enough for paypal... GTFO.   Where is that image of the person with his hear up his own rear when I need it.   It's also, P&P   Postage and packing... not just Postage.. or doesn't paypal support the use of packing with it's service?
Postage isn’t something that we cover and as such if the buyer states the case is over postage it was be closed.
But you charge for it? the Paypal fee's include the cost of postage.. so you support it when it gives you money, but turn a blind eye when it doesn't? nice policy     OP: Tell the service idiot that you have the mail (Inc the headers) in the text adn the reasons why you know she got the item (she knows how much the postage was) and that the issue is with the postage, a scanned copy of the proof of postage that IS proof of postage (Law > Idiot mods) and everything else... I'd also, cancel automatic payments if you have it setup and drain the Paypal account, that way, if they do go against you.. they can't legally automatticly bill you so you go into Negative ballance.   Then call the FOS and Trading standards over it. but refuse to pay the debt off until it's been looked at,       ... They will be, if they don't reply within say 7 days, go to the FOS and get advice.   I'd also speak to the bank about the transaction to paypal for the debt, maybe they can do a chargeback (I'm not sure on the rules) ... View more
