Actually, the information is there, in a way.  Beside your package size option is lettering stating:  Learn More About Package Sizes.  If you press the link, it tells you all about the different size packages and the requirements for them.  That's the one way I found out that my packages weren't thick enough.  We use bubble pack from the local car dealership parts department to "thicken" our packages since we us poly mailers.  It works out great. ... Hi, I am betting you've run into the same problem I had last year.  If your package/envelope is not a least 3/4" thick, you can not ship with delivery confirmation.  If you do ship a package/envelope that is less than 3/4" thick with delivery confirmation, the post office will then charge the priority rate.  The $4.09 might be the balance between what you paid and the priority rate.  ... Please be aware that PayPal does not back the USPS Express Mail Guarantee. I purchased an Express Mail label through PayPal due to be shipped on 1/26/11~guaranteed to be delivered on 1/27/11 by 3PM. Unfortunately, it did not make it on time. It arrive a day late. I contacted my local PO, since I dropped it off there for acceptance on 1/26/11. I was told I am definitely due a refund since they did not follow through on the guarantee. Okay, how do I do this? My local PO was told, since it was purchased through PayPal, I need to receive a refund through them. I contacted PayPal, they put all in motion. Here is the response I just received: Thanks for contacting PayPal. I appreciate the opportunity to assist you with your questions. I understand that you contacted us requesting a credit for the package that you sent as Express Mail Next Day. PayPal does not control the delivery of the package or the timeframe for delivery. When you purchase a shipping label through PayPal, we only function as the payment processor. I apologize if the Post Office advised you to contact PayPal for a refund. At this time, we are unable to provide a credit for your shipping label because tracking information from the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) shows that the label was used. In order to receive a credit for an unused shipping label, the label would need to be voided within 48 hours. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again. Sincerely, Dawne PayPal Customer Solutions Support Supervisor PayPal, an eBay Company Needless to say, I contacted my local PO to let them know what was going on. I have also contacted Click N Ship through the USPS to find out how to get around this BULL. They claim I need to complete a form #3533 with documentation, etc and turn in for payment to my local PO. I definitely have the refund coming to me. I have been at this for 2 days now. My local Postmaster and I have been going around in circles. Her supervisor says, if bought online, must be refunded on line through the company purchased from. I can totally understand that. I just wish someone knew the answer. PayPal obviously won't help. I will be purchasing all of my labels directly through the USPS Click N Ship website in the future. I just thought others should be aware of what they may run into. Good luck to you all! ...
